Description
Many middle eastern countries have a version of Kunafa but at it’s heart it’s a semolina flour crust filled with cream, sugar, and rose water. Then it’s topped with finely shredded strips of semolina dough fried in ghee to create a delightfully textured, crunchy top. In Turkey, the cream filling is often replaced with a soft cheese making it the cheesecake of middle eastern desserts.
